Alassio
A stroll down the memory lane
Some of my paintings are inspired by the magnificent scenery of Alassio. In my childhood and youth, I spent all my holidays in this small picturesque resort on the coast of Liguria.
Alassio is where I developed my love for the sea and everything related to it: swimming, sailing, and walking on the beach. I had a nice, little home there, whose balconies overlooked a postcard view of the Cappelletta and the Gallinara Island.
I haven't been to Alassio in 20 years now, but I still vividly remember many pleasant days during long hot summers or at Christmas.
These sensations of happiness, of a tranquil life made of beautiful hours spent in actions and activities seemingly trivial, are still with me, as a constant source of inspiration for feelings that will always be like cherished pearls well kept in my inner self.
